Crowdhouse¹ offers accessible investments in Swiss real estate. Founded and profitable since its 2015 start, it has grown to over 140 employees and placed more than 1 Billion CHF of real estate with investors through its platform.

I joined the company as 0->1 Product Designer to improve the product experience and design features inspired by the company core vision: making the Swiss property market transparent, efficient and accessible.

Being part of the product design team for over three years, I worked on many features and initiatives to improve the product experience. One of the latest project I contributed to was building a buyer profile completion for our customers. This helps our real estate advisors and sales to propose tailored property based on our customer personal informations.

The biggest challenge with the project was figuring out how to ask sensitive questions – income and wealth – to the customers in a way that didn’t refrain them to give us these info.

After multiple iterations, we opted for a conversational multi-step questionnaire as this was already a known pattern and proven method for collecting new data entries while keeping a neat user experience; especially on mobile.

We also came up with a series of objectives that would helps us to determine if the project was successful on the top of the raw data that we get during completion: make it clear, trustworthy and easy to use. We wanted to see these objectives reflected in our NPS survey results after the release of the feature.

The components shown above have been added seamlessly to the design system while the feature was being implemented. This helped other teams to adopt quickly the questionnaire components across other areas in the platform.
